Underwire Swimwear is Melissa Odabash's underwire-construction collection, spanning bikinis and one-pieces in premium Italian swim fabric, built around structural engineering rather than colourway.
A gold bar at the centre of the bust and two curved wires beneath do more work for a silhouette than any print ever could. Underwire Swimwear is where Melissa Odabash's construction, not its colourways, does the talking. More than two decades of fit expertise sit behind that single piece of engineering, refined until it disappears entirely into the silhouette.
The halterneck Provence Burgundy Bikini Top and over-shoulder Del Ray Jardin Bikini Top bring full coverage built entirely around underwired cups, while the over-shoulder, tie-back Milan Lime Ribbed Bikini Bottom offers a lighter, high-waisted alternative for the same support with less coverage, and the Brussels Black Bikini Top and Bel Air Black Bikini Top carry the same construction into the brand's most recognised silhouettes. Cut from premium Italian swim fabric with SPF 50+ protection, every piece resists chlorine and sun oils while the underwire itself holds its shape through repeated wear, not just the fabric around it. Removable padding and adjustable straps are used throughout, so the same underwired base can be worn with more or less coverage depending on the day.
Pair a supportive top with a cheekier bottom from Bikini Bottoms for a personalised fit, or style with kaftans and leather sandals for the rest of the day. The wire is doing the work here, so nothing else has to. Some construction is worth noticing; underwire, done well, is worth forgetting about entirely.
